Who am I now?

How Do I Find Myself Again?

When we move from one significant stage of life to another—be that experiencing an empty nest, a recent divorce, bereavement, ill health, job loss, or other major change—we often also experience personal disorientation and a sense of dislocation. As a result, our dramatic changes in circumstances, familiar routines and relationships can leave us feeling lost. It can also leave us wondering who we are now, or asking, “How do I find myself again?”

So, if you’ve been asking yourself this type of question, you have come to the right place!

My experience in myofascial release (MFR) massage and as a somatic coach can help you discover yourself again. My mission is to compassionately help you reorient yourself, address any chronic pain, and work side-by-side with you to improve your mental wellbeing and achieve a contented sense of self.

I am here to not only help you answer the vital question of ‘How do I find myself again?”, but to help you find or reconnect with your passion for life, for your family, for your job, for your love, for YOU!

Transition is Opportunity

While transition–any change!–can seem downright scary, it’s also laden with opportunity and the potential for fulfilment and joy.

The first step is to realize that transitions and change are a fundamental part of life, and it’s our coping strategies and mindset that determine our adaptability to these natural cycles.

Secondly, consider that you may need someone to guide you through the changes, so you can get to—or get back to—a vibrant and fulfilling life.

Central Coast Treatment for Chronic Pain

I am located in San Luis Obispo, one of only a few myofascial release therapists and somatic coaches on the California Central Coast. I understand—all-too-well—that when the body has experienced trauma, injury, or prolonged tension, it can easily result in chronic pain held in our body’s web-like fascia. As this fascia weaves throughout the entire body,  pain is often experienced in areas remote from the original injury site.

Life presents challenges that can manifest as both physical and emotional pain. The line between the physical and emotional is often blurred as these transitions both invite—and force—us to change. Myofascial release recognises and treats the complexity of this relationship, with the  primary aim of finding where and how restrictions and rigidity in the fascia are leading to pain. Traditional forms of massage do not address these myofascial restrictions.
