Myofascial Release: Relieving Chronic Pain

Not all pain is created equal . . .

What is Myofascial Release (MFR)?
Myofascial release is a manual treatment therapy that uses a holistic approach where each treatment is developed organically based on an individual’s needs.

What is fascia?
Fascia is a weblike structure that covers and penetrates all our cells as it weaves between every muscle, muscle fiber, organ, nerve, and blood vessel.

What does an MFR therapist do?
An MFR therapist works with the body to discover where and how pain is present regardless of its origin. The primary aim is to find where and how restrictions and rigidity in the fascia are leading to pain. Through sustained pressure and compression on the tissue, mobility and function are increased while pain is reduced. Traditional forms of massage do not address myofascial restrictions in this way.
